Tom Askeroth is a practicing attorney licensed in both Nevada and Oregon, with over 15 years of civil litigation experience. He has dedicated his career to representing injured workers in workers’ compensation matters and third- party claims against negligent parties.

A Las Vegas native and 1999 graduate of Bonanza High School, Tom earned his degree in American History from UNLV in 2006, graduating magna cum laude. His passion for American history continues today as he explores local and national museums and historic sites with his wife and three children.

Following his undergraduate studies, Tom pursued his legal education at Baylor University in Texas, earning his Juris Doctorate in 2009. Though he valued his time in Texas, he was drawn back to Nevada to practice law in his home community alongside friends and family.

Upon returning to Las Vegas and gaining admission to the Nevada bar in 2009, Tom became a partner at a large injury law firm. There, he handled thousands of contested workers’ compensation hearings while managing a substantial personal injury caseload. In 2018, he founded Askeroth Law Group, which merged with Claggett & Sykes in 2021, where he served as Partner until relaunching his law firm in 2025.

Beyond traditional legal practice, Tom has developed expertise at the intersection of artificial intelligence and law. He actively engages in AI research and has become a recognized voice on the ethical use of AI in legal practice. Tom leverages AI and language models to enhance legal research, writing, and marketing efforts. Tom’s insights have been shared through presentations to the Nevada State Bar and other organizations, including “New Developments in AI and How to Harness this Technology to Improve your Practice Today” and “Navigating the Ethical Landscape of AI Regulation in Legal Marketing.” He also co-authored an article on AI and ethics for the November 2023 issue of Nevada Lawyer.

Tom’s professional achievements include recognition in Nevada Business Journal’s Legal Elite (2019, 2020) and membership in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, National Trial Lawyers Association Top 40 Under 40, and America’s Top 100 High Stakes Litigators.

When not practicing law, Tom enjoys traveling with his family, hiking at Red Rock Canyon, attending theater performances with his spouse and snowboarding and fly fishing with his children.
